November 2019 Monthly General Meeting

When: November 12th, 2019 at 7:00 pm

Where: Garth Homer Centre,813 Darwin Ave, Victoria

November Meeting: End of Year Social & Festive Designs

Bring a floral arrangement and a sweet or savoury to share for the potluck to our end of the year festivities. The Guild's own Andrea Walker of Poppies Floral Art and her team will be presenting festive seasonal designs.

All Interested Parties Welcome!

Guests welcome

Guests are welcome at meetings. There's a $5.00 fee, which will be deducted from the cost of a membership if you decide to join. Workshops are for members only.


Brenna Quan Event

We're excited to be presenting an evening with Brenna Quan, AFD.

Explore. Experiment. Express: The Art of Exploring Materials and Found Objects.

Brenna is a floral designer based in Vancouver BC. Her foundation as an artist began with the study of lines and movement as a professional dancer and choreography. Brenna's natural prowess for emotional expression led her transition into the area of floral design.

    Good morning,


    The Peninsula Garden Club's next meeting will be Monday, November 11th at 7pm at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney. The speaker for the evening will be Eiddwen Thomas of Cartref Gardens. Eiddwen has been a farmer/florist since 2003, growing on less than an acre in North Saanich. Although she grows flowers for markets and weddings, she is now focusing on growing flowers and foliage for cutting, plus floral design. Also, Eiddwen is doing workshops through Panorama Rec Centre and HCP. We originally had arranged to have Eiddwen speak in early 2019 but had to cancel the meeting due to snowfall...we are lucky to have been able to rebook her!


    Everyone welcome, drop-in fee $5.  Refreshments ($2 gets you coffee and a treat!), Parlour Show, Plant Stall, Library and Raffle.
